Models

Gemini models via Sign in with Google, a Gemini API key, or Vertex AI. The README says it is not optimized for Gemini 4 Argon and points to Antigravity CLI for the latest Gemini models.

Is Gemini CLI still the free Google option?

Not for everyone. The README says unpaid-tier and Google One users moved to Antigravity CLI on June 18, 2026, and that Gemini CLI is not optimized for Gemini 4 Argon. It still ships weekly releases for API-key, Vertex AI and Code Assist users.
